Connect Slack

Post a message in a Slack channel every time a customer submits a booking.

Updated Sep 30, 2026

The Slack integration posts a message in one Slack channel for every new booking. Your team sees the customer's details without opening ServiceReserve.

Connect Slack

  1. 1

    Turn on Slack

In the sidebar, under Integrations, click Browse (or Manage). Switch Slack on, then click Slack to open its setup page.

  2. 2

    Click Connect

In the Connection card, click Connect. Slack opens in the same tab.

  3. 3

    Pick a channel

In Slack, choose the channel that should receive booking alerts, then allow access.

  4. 4

    Check the connection

Slack sends you back to the setup page. The status reads connected and the card says "Posting to #channel in your workspace."

  5. 5

    Send a test

Click Send test message. You see "Test message sent — check your Slack channel." The channel gets "ServiceReserve test message — your Slack integration is working."

What each message contains

Each message starts with New booking request and lists every detail the booking has:

  • Name, email, phone, and company
  • Service address and category
  • Selected services, with quantity and price
  • Preferred date and time
  • Intake answers, including links to uploaded files
  • Total, source, marketing attribution, and the form name

Lines with no value are left out, so short bookings give short messages.

Change the channel

Click Reconnect and pick a different channel in Slack. New bookings go to the new channel.

Check deliveries

The Recent activity card lists the last 50 alerts sent to your channel, with the status and the customer for each one. Failed rows show the error.

Stop Slack alerts

Switch the toggle in the page header to Disabled. Nothing posts while it's off. Your connection stays saved, so switching it back on resumes alerts without reconnecting. There's no disconnect button on the setup page.

Troubleshooting

  • Connect is greyed out and says "OAuth credentials not configured on this server." Check the page-header switch first. This message also shows while Slack is Disabled. Switch it on. If the message stays, Slack connections aren't available right now.
  • "Connect Slack first — click Connect on the Slack integration page." You clicked Send test message before connecting. Click Connect first.
  • "Last send failed: …" banner. The last message or connection attempt failed. Messages that start with "Slack OAuth failed" come from the connect step. Click Reconnect and approve the app again.
  • Messages stopped after the app was removed in Slack. Click Reconnect to install it again.
