First: which kind of booking did you set up?
A link you pasted into your profile
It shows as a booking link, not the provider button. If the link itself is missing, jump to links that disappear.
A booking provider (Reserve with Google)
The Book online button comes from the provider's data. Most of the checklist below is about this case.
Local Services Ads booking
That's the Book option on your paid ad, set up through an LSA booking partner. See Local Services Ads.

The checklist
Give it enough time
Google says a provider button can take up to a week. Providers quote 24 hours to a few days, and first-time reviews can take longer. Turning it off takes about as long.
Check the profile is verified and not suspended
Booking options need a verified profile. A suspended or disabled profile — or an account restriction — hides everything.
Make the name, address, and phone match exactly
Your provider sends Google your business details, and Google matches them to your Maps listing. Compare them character by character. Housecall Pro's example is "&" in one place and "and" in the other.
Service-area business? Ask for a manual match
If your profile hides your address, Google's matching guidelines say providers can't match it automatically. Ask your provider to match it by hand, and send your Google Maps link.
Remove a preferred booking link that may override the button
Housecall Pro reports that a business-preferred booking link can show in place of the Book online button, and that the button returns within about 24 hours after removing it. Google doesn't document this, but it's a quick thing to try.
Check your category and country
Google's booking-provider policy supports a Home Services category (plumbers, electricians, AC contractors, roofers, cleaners, appliance repair, landscapers, and more) in about 80 countries. Emergency appointment types aren't supported.
Make sure your provider has services and open times
Google needs at least one service and future availability before a button can go live. A booking page with no open times, or a paused subscription, can take it down.
Look for a second booking provider
If another tool also sent your business to Google — an old scheduler or your field-service software — it may be the one Google shows. Remove the provider you don't use.
Check the provider or you didn't turn it off
If a provider was removed under Remove provider, or your provider was told to stop, the button goes away. Providers have to act on removal requests within 5 days.
If you use ServiceReserve
- 1
Check the profile's status
On Business Profiles, each location shows Active, Off, or Paused. Paused means the trial or subscription ended — subscribe to resume.
- 2
Check the address
Reserve with Google can only be enabled when the profile has a full street address with ZIP, city, and state. Fix it on the profile, then click Enable again.
- 3
"Unavailable" on import
If a location shows Unavailable when you import it, another ServiceReserve account already manages that listing. Contact support to move it.
- 4
Wait 48 hours, then contact us
The button usually appears within 24–48 hours. If it hasn't, email [email protected] with the profile name and your Google Maps link. Service-area businesses often need a manual match.

Provider-specific notes
These come from each provider's own help center, not from Google. Check their article for the latest steps.
| Provider | What their help center says |
|---|---|
| Housecall Pro | Name, phone, and address must match Google exactly. Remove preferred booking links if they show instead of the button. Service-area businesses without an address are matched manually by support. Read the article |
| Jobber | Matches your profile by the address in Jobber. Service-area profiles without an address need Jobber support. Connecting or disconnecting takes up to 72 hours, and one form connects at a time. Read the article |
| HighLevel | Uses feeds it calls Google Organic Booking. The first review usually takes 1–2 weeks, and the main button can go live before individual services. Re-upload feeds after changing services. Read the article |
Booking links that disappear or show the wrong page
- Your pasted link vanished. Google checks booking links with a crawler and removes ones that are blocked, behind a login or CAPTCHA, geoblocked, or don't load normally. Link shorteners, social media, and messaging links aren't allowed, and only one link per domain is kept.
- A link you didn't add showed up. Some links come from providers or from Google's own data. Remove it under Remove provider in your booking settings, or ask the provider to take it down.
- The wrong page opens. Booking links have to go to a page for your business where customers can finish the booking. A generic homepage can be rejected.
Local Services Ads: booking not showing on the ad
Google shows your profile's booking link on your Local Services ad only when you're a verified LSA advertiser, your profile is linked to the LSA account, and the link is managed by one of Google's listed LSA booking partners. Booking leads also have to be switched on in the ad account, and the ad has to be running. LSA booking is a paid lead, separate from the free profile button.
Who to contact
| Problem | Who can fix it |
|---|---|
| Profile unverified, suspended, or details wrong on Maps | You, in Google Business Profile, or Google support |
| Button not matched, service-area match, button removed | Your booking provider |
| A provider link you don't want | The provider (through Remove provider) |
| Booking not showing on your paid ad | Your LSA booking partner and your Google Ads account |
Frequently asked questions
Why does my profile show a website link instead of Book online?
Usually it's a booking link you (or someone) added and marked as preferred, or the provider button hasn't been matched yet. Housecall Pro reports that removing preferred links brings the button back within about 24 hours.
My business is a service-area business. Can it get the button?
Yes, but it usually needs a manual match. Google's matching guidelines say providers can't match service-area businesses automatically, so contact your provider with your Google Maps link.
Can Google support turn the button on for me?
No. The button comes from your booking provider's data. Google support can help with verification and suspensions; your provider handles matching.
How do I remove an old booking provider?
In your profile's booking settings, choose Remove provider. The provider has to act within 5 days. You can also turn it off inside the provider's own settings.
